The Monroe House is so haunted, many paranormal investigators have fled the property and vowed to never return! In 2016, while filming an episode of “Paranormal Lockdown”, human remains were discovered in the basement crawlspace, launching a formal police investigation. According to a local funeral director, the bones were at least 100 years old. They were sent off to other experts for further evaluation but to date, the identity of the person has not been discovered. All of the bones were not removed from the crawlspace and remain there today. The owner of the house has closed off the crawl space from anyone entering. Even tho no one is allowed to access that area, strange things have happened there, such as the owners tool belt being found deep in the crawlspace after he complained for a week or so that it was missing. He initially thought one of the construction workers were playing a trick on him but they were just as spooked as he was. In a separate incident, an investigator left her flashlight in the house when she packed up and left after her investigation. She later realized she left it behind & even had video of the flashlight left on the front table. The next time she returned, several months later the owner asked if this flashlight he had found belonged to her. It was indeed her flashlight, proven by an odd battery that no one else would have. He told her it was found in the crawlspace. She was really shaken as she had not gone anywhere near the crawlspace.
